Sunday        12noon to 4.00pm

Access:

Level access, automatic doors, lift to main library and upper level. All public areas are wheelchair accessible.

New Learning Centre opens

Numidia Education and Training are pleased to announce that their brand new learndirect centre will open at Coventry Central Library on Monday 22 September 2008. Please visit our Learndirect page for more information.  

Library Lifts

The lifts in the entrance to the building are being replaced, one at a time from 30 June.

Local Studies Service

This service is based at the Coventry History Centre. For more information visit our History Centre page.

  • A children's library with a collection of books to help with homework
  • Story times every Saturday at 11.00am to 12.00noon 
  • A wide variety of music on CD and tape for loan for a small charge
  • Talking Books free to visually impaired people, under 16s 
  • DVDs for loan for a small charge
  • Books in Bengali, Chinese, French, German, Gujarati, Hindi, Italian, Polish, Punjabi, Spanish, Urdu and Vietnamese
  • Language sets for learning a second language
  • Book request service
  • Free access to 50 bookable computers with office software and internet access
  • Information on computers courses 
  • Musical Talks, Readers groups and other events
  • Braille Courses
  • Family Information Service 
  • Fax machine (small charge)
  • Photocopier (small charge)
  • Housebound reader service
  • Newspapers and magazines in English, Bengali, Chinese, Gujurati, Hindi, Punjabi and Urdu
