Godiva's in the Undercroft

Located in the magnificent, vaulted undercroft of St. Mary's Guildhall, Godiva's offers a wonderful, historic setting for morning coffee, lunch or afternoon tea.

Just a short stroll from Coventry's bustling shopping district, Godiva's is a haven for relaxation and friendly service, the perfect place to unwind in the city's historic Cathedral Quarter. We offer a wide selection of freshly prepared food at competitive prices, including tasty daily specials, prepared by the Head Chef and his team in the same medieval kitchens that have catered for royalty and fed starving weavers.

Godiva's is fully licensed, and we endeavour to offer locally sourced and Fairtrade products where available. We also cater for children who are offered their own menu, with high chairs available for our youngest guests. Special dietary requirements can be catered for and vegetarian options are always included on our menus.

Choose from our everyday light lunch and snack menu, or, for a fuller meal, our changing daily specials. Friday is a good choice for fish fans, whilst Godiva's great value carvery is on offer on Wednesdays and Thursdays (booking advisable). Opening hours

We are open from 10.00am to 3.30pm Monday to Friday for snacks, with hot meals served between 12noon and 2.30pm. There is disabled access and staff will gladly assist with wheelchairs or baby buggies. Tables can be booked in advance - just contact us using the details below. We look forward to welcoming you.

How to find us

From Bayley Lane, opposite the old Cathedral ruins, pass through the grand porch into the courtyard of St. Mary's Guildhall. You'll find Godiva's through the doorway in the right hand corner of the courtyard.

Crazy for carvery?

Our popular Wednesday carvery is now also available on a Thursday, offering another day on which to enjoy this meaty feast. A tasty vegetarian alternative is always available, and if you've no time to stay, hot carvery batches are also available to take away.

Sweet Deal

If you've got a sweet tooth, then we have a deal that will appeal. For £2.75 you can choose any hot beverage along with a delicious cake or pastry, a perfect match for that morning coffee or afternoon break.
