Event Safety Guide

The Event Safety Guide has been created to assist those new to event organising and those who are experienced in events and want to use city council parks and open spaces as event sites.

How the guide can help you plan your event

The guide has check lists and examples to follow to assist you in your event planning. It does not replace HSE guidance with regard to events but it does, hopefully, make the guidance easier to understand and implement. It will also make clear to you what your responsibilities are with regard to hosting a safe and yet fun event.

Booking a park for your event

Please download a copy of the guide free of charge and use the application forms if you would like to book one of Coventry City Council's parks or open spaces to hold your event. Your application will be considered and the Event Coordinator will be in touch with you to discuss the application in due course.

Help with funding for your event

See our information about small grants to see if your event could qualify for funding help.
