Beacon scheme
The Beacon Scheme was set up to recognise examples of best practice in service delivery in local government. Ten themes are selected for each round of awards and beacon status is granted for one year.
Coventry City Council has achieved the following Beacon awards:
- Reducing health inequalities (2007 - 2008)
- Effective environmental health (2005 - 2006)
- Crime and disorder (2000 - 2001)
