Working with our local and regional partners Coventry City Council's Investment and Business Team works to help businesses improve competitiveness and create employment opportunities.

To encourage investment in the city we can help you apply for Grants for Business Investment (GBI), the significant government grant for capital investment projects.

Enterprising Coventry

The Local Enterprise Growth Initiative (LEGI) (external website) is part of Enterprising Coventry and offers external Sector help to individual businesses, especially:

those individuals seeking to start a business
existing businesses who need support to realise their potential
businesses seeking new premises or relocation support
Enterprising Coventry can help with recruitment and retention, relocation, advice on business growth and diversification - all at no cost to you (see booklet below)

Solutions for business

Solutions for Business is a suite of publicly funded business support products and services designed to help businesses start, grow and succeed.

The right advice, loan or grant, at the right time, can make the world of difference to your business. Solutions for Business products are simple to understand and access, good value for money and directed to where they will have most impact to help businesses grow. They are designed to equip you with the necessary knowledge and skills you need to tackle issues your business might be facing.

Eligible businesses can gain support in areas such as starting up, understanding finance, training and skill development, resource efficiency, exploiting ideas, international opportunities and marketing and growing your business. Accessing Other Business Support

If the Investment and Business Team at Coventry City Council cannot directly help with your business requirement then with your permission you will be referred to other local support agencies that might be able to help such as Business Link. They will provide independent advice and guidance on the type of support that will best fit the individual needs of your business.
