Emergency road closure on Banner Lane
Emergency road closure on Banner Lane from its junction with Tile Hill Lane to its junction with Broad Lane to to allow for road repair works to be undertaken safely. The duration for this closure is for 21 days from 25 February 2010 but it is anticipated the work would be completed in a shorter period. Temporary Traffic Arrangements – Wildcroft Road
Under the authority delegated to the Assistant Director by the Cabinet Member
(City Services) it is proposed to effect a prohibition of driving on Wildcroft Road from its junction with Harewood Road to
its junction with Lyndale Road from 07:00Hrs Friday 5th March 2010 to 23:59Hrs Monday 8th March 2010 to allow carriageway
repair works to be undertaken safely.
Access to private residence will be maintained and diversion route will be signposted.
The maximum duration of this order is eighteen months, however it is anticipated that the work will be completed in four (4) days.

Temporary Traffic Arrangements – Old Church Road
Under the authority delegated to the Assistant Director by the Cabinet Member (City Services) it is proposed to effect a prohibition of driving on Old Church Road from its junction with Foleshill Road to its junction with Gayer Street from 08:00Hrs to 13:00Hrs on Sunday 7th March 2010 to allow blow down demolition of chimney and associative activities to be undertaken safely. If these works are unable to commence the will be undertaken the next available Sunday.
The maximum duration of this order is eighteen months, however it is anticipated that the work will be completed in one (1) day. Diversion routes for vehicles and non motorised users will be sign posted.

Temporary Traffic Arrangements – The Burges
Under the authority delegated to the Assistant Director by the Cabinet Member (City Services) it is proposed to effect a prohibition of driving on:
The Burges from its junction with Palmer Lane to its junction with Hales Street; Palmer Lane from its junction with The Burges for 20m in the easterly direction; The footpath from Palmer Lane to The Burges; and The footpath from The Burges to West Orchard Service Road from 08:00Hrs Monday 1st March 2010 to 23:00Hrs Sunday 25th April 2010 to allow road resurfacing and footway widening works to be undertaken safely.
The maximum duration of this order is Six months, however it is anticipated that the work will take approximately eight (8) weeks.

Temporary Traffic Arrangements – Far Gosford Street
Under the authority delegated to the Assistant Director by the Cabinet Member (City Services) it is proposed to effect a prohibition of driving on Far Gosford Street from its junction with Vecqueray Street to its junction with Binley Road from 08:00Hrs Sunday 28th February 2010 to 06:00Hrs Monday 29th February 2010 to allow installation of ducts in road crossing and scanning of buildings for 3D virtual commerce project to be undertaken safely.
The maximum duration of this order is eighteen months, however it is anticipated
that the work will be completed in one (1) day.

Temporary Traffic Arrangements – Beechwood Avenue
Under the authority delegated to the Assistant Director by the Cabinet Member (City Services) it is proposed to effect a prohibition of driving on Beechwood Avenue from its junction with Canley Road to its junction with Hartington Crescent from 20:00Hrs Saturday 27th February 2010 to 06:00Hrs Sunday 28th February 2010 to allow installation new traffic light equipment on the approaches to the railway bridge to be undertaken safely.
The maximum duration of this order is eighteen months,
however it is anticipated that the work will be completed in one (1) night.

Temporary Traffic Arrangements – Torrington Avenue
Under the authority delegated to the Assistant
Director by the Cabinet Member (City Services) it is proposed to effect a prohibition of driving on Torrington Avenue from
its junction with the A45 Fletchamstead Highway to its junction with Templar Avenue from 08:00Hrs Monday 22nd February 2010
to 23:59Hrs Monday 31st May 2010 to allow junction alteration works and associative activities to be undertaken safely.
The maximum duration of this order is eighteen months, however it is anticipated that the work will be completed in approximately
15 weeks.

Temporary Traffic Arrangements – Hall Lane
Under the authority delegated to the Assistant Director by the Cabinet Member (City Services) it is proposed to effect a prohibition of driving on Hall Lane from its junction with Boswell Drive to its junction with School House Lane from 08:00Hrs Monday 22nd February 2010 to 23:59Hrs Monday 22nd March 2010 to allow medium pressure gas mains replacement to be undertaken safely.
The maximum duration
of this order is eighteen months, however it is anticipated that the work will be completed in four (4) weeks.

Temporary Traffic Arrangements – Daimler Road Footbridge & St. Nicholas Street Footbridge Closure
Under the authority delegated
to the Assistant Director by the Cabinet Member (City Services) it is proposed to effect a closure of:
• Daimler Road
from its bottom end for 20m in the westerly direction;
• Daimler Road Footway from its junction with Sandy Lane to Daimler
Road Footbridge;
• Daimler Road Footbridge;
• The Footpath from Widdrington Road to Daimler Road Footbridge;
• Footpath from Newfield Road to Daimler Road Footbridge;
• St. Nicholas Street Footway from its junction with Ellys
Road to St. Nicholas Street Footbridge;
• St. Nicholas Street Footbridge; and
• The public right of way from Swillington
Road to St. Nicholas Street Footbridge.
From 08:00Hrs Monday 8th February 2010 to 23:59Hrs Monday 22nd March 2010 to allow new footbridges to be installed along with re-grading of the footpath, installation of handrails and improved lighting works to be undertaken safely.

Hay Lane - 4 January 2010
Under the authority delegated to the Assistant Director by the Cabinet Member (City Services) it is proposed to effect a prohibition of driving on Hay Lane from its junction with High Street to a distance of twenty three metres (23m, up to pedestrian zone) North of High Street from 08:00Hrs Monday 4th January 2010 to 23:59Hrs Tuesday 30th August 2010 to allow refurbishment of the former Yates Public House to be undertaken safely.
Pedestrian, wheelchair user access and emergency access to the Council House would be maintained during this period.
The maximum duration of this order is eighteen months, however it is anticipated that the work will be completed in eight (8) months.

Temporary Traffic Arrangements – A45 Birmingham Road November 2009
Under the authority delegated to the Assistant Director by the Cabinet Member (City Services) it is proposed to effect a temporary speed limit restriction of 40mph on the A45 Birmingham Road (Eastbound) from the Eaves Green Lane underpass to 300 metres east of its junction with Oak Lane from 10:00 hours Wednesday 25th November 2009 for a period of approximately 10 weeks to allow drainage installation works and associated activities to be undertaken safely.
The maximum duration of this order is eighteen months, however it is anticipated that the work will take approximately 10 weeks.

Temporary traffic arrangements – A4600 Hinckley Road
Under the authority delegated to the Head of Highways by the Cabinet Member (City Services) it is proposed to effect a prohibition of driving on Hinckley Road between its junctions with Parkway and M6 Junction 2 in both directions for the periods of Monday 16th November 2009 to Monday 14th December 2009 and Monday 15th February 2010 to Monday 1st March 2010 to allow remedial work to be undertaken safely. Further the southbound lay-by within Hinckley Road between it's junctions with M6 Junction 2 and Parkway will be closed to allow remedial work to be undertaken safely for the period of Monday 11th January 2010 to Monday 15th February 2010.
It is anticipated that the works will start on the proposed dates, however should any delays be incurred works will commence on the first available date after the stated start date.
The resurfacing works will be carried out under night time road closures between the working hours of 20:00 and 06:00.
The maximum duration of this order is eighteen months, however it is anticipated that the work will be completed by Monday 1st March 2010.

Cross Cheaping and Ironmonger Row
It is proposed to effect a prohibition of driving on Cross Cheaping and Ironmonger Row
between Cross Cheaping and the West Orchard Link Road from Monday 10 August 2009 to enable construction work to be undertaken.

Ironmonger
Row is closed due to the results of investigations in regard to the structural integrity of the underground structure supporting
Ironmonger Row. Traffic will be diverted via Trinity Street, Broadgate, High Street, Earl Street, Jordan Well, Cox Street,
Fairfax Street. Pedestrian access will be maintained. The closure commenced on Wednesday, 12th March 2008. A completion date
for this work has yet to be determined. (St. Michael's Ward)

Woodway Lane footbridge (over M6)
Following an emergency closure requested by West Midlands and Warwickshire
Police, this closure has now been advertised to close for a further 6 months while the Highways Agency do further investigations
regarding the bridge structure. Further extension until May 25th 2010 or until the Highways Agency have completed the work.
(Extension granted by the Department for Transport on 2nd November 2009
(Henley Ward)
St Johns Street West
St
Johns Street West will be closed from 26th May 2009 for 14 months to allow the new Severn Trent Centre Development to be completed.
Traffic will be diverted via New Union Street, Little Park Street and St John's Street. In addition a near side lane
closure will be in force on Ringway St John's Eastbound entry slip road. (St. Michael's Ward).

Much Park Street & St Johns Street (Part of)
To allow construction of the Severn Trent Centre Development.
(a).
A closure of part of the carriageway in the cul-de-sac section of Much Park Street. The area of the highway which is closed
will be clearly indicated by a hoarding.
(b). A closure of the western footway of Much Park Street between its junction
with St. Johns Street and its cul-de-sac end. The closure commenced on Tuesday, 3rd June 2008. A diversion route for pedestrians
