Emergency Closure
Ironmonger Row will be closed from 3.00pm on Wednesday, 12 March 2008 as an emergency closure due to the results of investigations in regard to the structural integrity of the underground structure supporting Ironmonger Row. An update will be provided in regard to the duration of the closure.
Traffic will be diverted via Trinity Street, Broadgate, High Street,
Earl Street, Jordan Well, Cox Street, Fairfax Street.
Pedestrian access will be maintained.

Bablake Ward
- A closure of the
following roads from 7.00am on Monday, 28th July 2008, for approximately four weeks to allow the safe renewal of water mains:-
(a) Watery Lane between its junctions with Wall Hill Road and Clay Lane.
(b) Clay Lane between its junction with Watery Lane and Oaklands Farm.

Binley and Willenhall Ward
- The footpath between Tarquin Close (at the side of properties 151/153) and Langbank Avenue will be closed from 7.00am on Monday, 28th July 2008, for approximately three weeks to allow structural maintenance works to be undertaken safely. Pedestrians will be diverted via Tarquin Close, Montjoy Close, Mary Slessor Street, Remembrance Road, St. James Lane, Willenhall Lane and Langbank Avenue. Earlsdon Ward
- Lane closures at A45/Sir Henry Parkes Road roundabout from Monday, 10th December 2007, for approximately five months, to allow a highway improvement for the Primelines bus service. ( For queries please contact Peter Ullah of the City Council's Special Projects team on telephone 02476 834311 )
Henley Ward
- The following temporary arrangements will be implemented
from 7.00am on Monday, 23rd June 2008, for approximately five weeks to allow the safe renewal of a gas main:-
(a) A closure of Omar Road at its junction with Hipswell Highway.
(b) A closure of Harold Road at its junction with Hipswell Highway.
(c) A closure of the southbound carriageway on Hipswell Highway between its junctions with Harold Road and Binley Road. Diversion routes for vehicular traffic will be signposted. (For queries please contact Stan Best of National Grid Transco on telephone 07721 517608)
Holbrook Ward

Longford Ward
- The following temporary traffic arrangements
will be implemented from 7.00am on Monday, 18th August 2008, for approximately two weeks to allow carriageway resurfacing
works to be undertaken safely:-
(a) A closure of Grange Road at its junction with Jackers Road.
Traffic will be diverted via Oakmoor Road, Longford Road, Bedworth Road, Longford Road, Black Horse Road and Grange Road. Part of the diversion route is in the Nuneaton and Bedworth District.
(b) A closure of Jackers Road between its junctions with Grange Road and Aldermans Green Road.Traffic will be diverted via Oakmoor Road, Longford Road, Windmill Road and Aldermans Green Road. St. Michael's Ward
- The south western footway of Upper Well Street
will be closed from 7.00am on Monday, 14 May 2007 for approximately eighteen months to allow the construction of
the Belgrade Plaza development. Pedestrians will be diverted via the north western footway of Upper Well Street. (For

The following temporary arrangements will be implemented from 7.00am on Tuesday, 3rd June 2008 for approximately six weeks to allow building demolition works to be undertaken safely:-
(a) A closure of part of the carriageway in the cul-de-sac section of Much Park Street. The area of the highway which is closed will be clearly indicated by a hoarding.
(b) A closure of the western footway of Much Park Street between its junction with St. Johns Street and its cul-de-sac end. Upper Stoke Ward
- Brixham Drive Service Road (to properties 1-31) will be closed from 7.00am on Monday, 23rd June 2008, for approximately eight weeks to allow a highway improvement scheme to be undertaken safely. Wainbody Ward
- The A45 Kenpas Highway Service Roads (North and South) will be closed from 7.00am on Tuesday, 25th March 2008 to allow carriageway resurfacing works to be undertaken safely. - Gibbet Hill Road will be closed, between its junctions with Kenilworth Road and Westwood Heath Road, from 7.00am on Monday, 28th July 2008, for approximately four weeks to allow a gas main to be installed in the carriageway safely. Traffic will be diverted via Kenilworth Road, A45 Fletchamstead Highway, Sir Henry Parkes Road, Kirby Corner Road and Gibbet Hill Road. Westwood Ward

- A closure of Torrington Avenue, at its junction with the A45 Fletchamstead Highway, from 7.00am on Tuesday, 6th May 2008 for approximately one week. - A closure of Torrington Avenue, at its junction with the A45 Fletchamstead Highway, from 7.00pm on Friday, 8th August 2008 for approximately two weeks. Traffic will be diverted via A45 Fletchamstead Highway (northbound carriageway), Tile Hill Lane, Templar Avenue and Torrington Avenue. Whoberley Ward
Lane closures on Tile Hill Lane/Broad Lane/Hearsall Common from 9.00am on Monday, 14 January 2008 for approximately 3 months to allow a highway improvement for the Primelines bus service. (For queries please contact Kieran Boyle of Jacobs Consultants on telephone 02476 833663)
The following roads will be closed from 7.00am on Tuesday, 27th May 2008 for approximately three weeks to allow carriageway resurfacing works to be undertaken safely:-
(a) Allesley Old Road (inbound carriageway) between its junctions with Holyhead Road and Prince of Wales Road.
(b) Allesley Old Road (outbound carriageway) between its junctions with Four Pounds Avenue and Winsford Avenue.
Traffic will be diverted for temporary arrangements (a) and (b) via Holyhead Road, Four Pounds Avenue and Allesley Old Road.
(c) Grayswood Avenue at its junction with Allesley Old Road.
Traffic will be diverted via Grayswood Avenue, Holyhead Road and Four Pounds Avenue.
(d) Glendower Avenue at its junction with Allesley Old Road.
Traffic will be diverted via Glendower Avenue, Broad Lane, Hearsall Common, Queensland Avenue and Allesley Old Road.

will be implemented from 7.00am to 7.00pm, for approximately two Sundays, commencing on Sunday, 15th June 2008, to allow repairs
to traffic signals and street lighting to be undertaken safely:-
(a) A "No Right Turn" from the A429 Kenilworth Road (outbound) onto the A45 Fletchamstead Highway.
(b) A "No Right Turn" from the A45 Fletchamstead Highway (south eastbound carriageway) onto the A429 Kenilworth Road (southbound carriageway).
(c) A "No Right Turn" from the A45 Kenpas Highway (north westbound carriageway) onto the A429 Kenilworth Road (northbound carriageway).
