Ongoing roadworks
Herrick Road
Notice is hereby given that
Coventry City Council, under the Road Traffic Regulation Act 1984 (as amended), intends to prohibit the driving of any vehicles
on Herrick Road from its junction with Lord Lytton Avenue to its junction with the Tennyson Road from Wednesday 4 August 2010
to enable carriageway resurfacing works to be undertaken safely.
The maximum duration of this closure will be five (5)
days and the closure will thereafter be revoked, but it is anticipated that the works will be completed in two (2) days.
Access to properties will be maintained apart from when works are directly outside a frontage.
Diversion routes will
be signposted.
Lord Lytton Avenue
Notice is hereby given that Coventry City Council, under the Road
Traffic Regulation Act 1984 (as amended), intends to prohibit the driving of any vehicles on Lord Lytton Avenue from its junction
with Momus Boulevard to its junction with the Meredith Road from Tuesday 3 August 2010 to enable carriageway resurfacing works
to be undertaken safely.
The maximum duration of this closure will be five (5) days and the closure will thereafter
be revoked, but it is anticipated that the works will be completed in two (2) days.
Access to properties will be maintained
apart from when works are directly outside a frontage.
Diversion routes will be signposted.
Sewell Highway
Notice is hereby given that Coventry City Council, under the Road Traffic Regulation Act 1984 (as amended),
intends to prohibit the driving of any vehicles on Sewall Highway from its junction with Ansty Road to its junction with the
Tiverton Road from Monday 2nd August 2010 to enable carriageway resurfacing works to be undertaken safely.
The maximum
duration of this closure will be five (5) days and the closure will thereafter be revoked, but it is anticipated that the
works will be completed in two (2) days.
Access to properties will be maintained apart from when works are directly outside
a frontage. Diversion routes will be signposted.
Shilton Lane
Notice is hereby given that Coventry
City Council, under the Road Traffic Regulation Act 1984 (as amended), intends to prohibit the driving of any vehicles on
Shilton Lane from its junction with Ringwood Highway to its junction with the Lenton's Lane from Friday 30 July 2010 to enable
carriageway resurfacing works to be undertaken safely.
The maximum duration of this closure will be five (5) days
and the closure will thereafter be revoked, but it is anticipated that the works will be completed in two (2) days.
Access to properties will be maintained apart from when works are directly outside a frontage. Diversion routes will be signposted.

Notice is hereby given that Coventry City Council, under the Road Traffic Regulation Act 1984
(as amended), intends to prohibit the driving of any vehicles on Beech Tree Avenue from its junction with Tile Hill Lane for
50m in the Northerly direction; and Middlecotes Road from its junction with Tile Hill Lane for 50m in the Southerly direction
from Thursday 29 July 2010 to enable carriageway repair works to be undertaken safely.
Access to properties on
the closed sections of roads will be maintained except for the period of time when work is being carried out directly in front
of the property and diversion routes will be sign posted.
The maximum duration of these closures will be five (5) days and the closure will thereafter be revoked, but it is anticipated the works will be completed in two (2) days.

Under the authority delegated to the Assistant Director by the Cabinet Member (City Services) it is proposed to effect a prohibition of driving on St Georges Road from its junction with Terry Road to its junction with Binley Road from 09:30Hrs to Monday 26th July 2010 to allow the installation of traffic calming features to be undertaken safely.
The diversion route will be signed.
The maximum duration of this order is eighteen months, however it is anticipated that
the work will take approximately five (5) weeks.
St Georges Road is in the St Michaels Ward.
Vine Street
Under the authority delegated to the Assistant Director by the Cabinet Member (City Services) it is proposed to effect a prohibition of driving on Vine Street from its junction with Primrose Hill Street to its junction with Raglan Street from 08:00Hrs on Monday 26 July 2010 to allow work associated with the construction of the new Sidney Stringer Academy to be undertaken safely.
The diversion route will be along Cox Street and will be signed accordingly.
The maximum duration of this order is eighteen months, however it is anticipated that the work will take approximately five (5) weeks.

Under the authority delegated to the Assistant Director by the Cabinet Member (City Services) it is proposed to effect a prohibition of driving on Allesley Old Road from its junction with Brookside Avenue to its junction with Winsford Avenue (outbound carriageway only) from 09:00Hrs to Monday 26 July 2010 to allow medium gas main replacement to be undertaken safely.
Four (4) way traffic signals will be in operation and alternative routes will be signed.
The maximum duration of this order is eighteen months, however it is anticipated that the work will take approximately four (4) weeks.

Under the authority delegated to the Assistant Director by the Cabinet Member (City Services) it is proposed to effect a prohibition of driving on Torbay Road Monday 24 May to allow works in connection with a medium pressure gas main replacement to be undertaken safely.
Pedestrian access will be maintained during this period. The maximum duration of this order is eighteen months, however it is anticipated that the work will be completed in thirteen (13) weeks. The diversion route is Winsford Avenue.
Temporary traffic arrangements – Hay Lane 4 January 2010
Under the authority delegated to the Assistant Director by the Cabinet Member (City Services) it is proposed to effect a prohibition of driving on Hay Lane from its junction with High Street to a distance of twenty three metres (23m, up to pedestrian zone) North of High Street from 08:00Hrs Monday 4th January 2010 to 23:59Hrs Tuesday 30 August 2010 to allow refurbishment of the former Yates Public House to be undertaken safely.
Pedestrian, wheelchair user access and emergency access to the Council House would be maintained during this period.
The maximum duration of this order is eighteen months, however it is anticipated that the work will be completed in eight (8) months. This section of Hay Lane is in the St Michael's ward.

St Johns Street
West will be closed from 26 May 2009 for 14 months to allow the new Severn Trent Centre Development to be completed.
Traffic
will be diverted via New Union Street, Little Park Street and St John's Street. In addition a near side lane closure will
be in force on Ringway St John's Eastbound entry slip road. This closure is in St. Michael's Ward.
Much Park Street & St Johns Street (Part of)
To allow construction of the Severn
Trent Centre Development.
(a). A closure of part of the carriageway in the cul-de-sac section of Much Park Street. The
area of the highway which is closed will be clearly indicated by a hoarding.
(b). A closure of the western footway of
Much Park Street between its junction with St. Johns Street and its cul-de-sac end. The closure commenced on Tuesday, 3rd
June 2008. A diversion route for pedestrians is available via the eastern footway of Much Park Street.(St. Michael's Ward).
St. John's Street
The southern footway of St. John's Street is closed to allow building construction works to be undertaken safely. The closure commenced on Monday, 8 September 2008. Pedestrians will be diverted via the northern footway of St. John's Street. (St. Michael's Ward).
